Thank you to all for attending the Common Interest Work Group (CIWG) on Getting the best from Maximo CMMS - Implementing Process Safety with Energy Australia.

Our thanks to Brett Wilson from Energy Australia for his presentation on how they implement process safety in Maximo.

We had great interest and questions with discussion and networking via break-out rooms.

There were 19 people from 12 companies from across Australia who attended.

People came with the following aims:

• Any continual improvement opportunities for Maximo and Process Safety integration
• To understand and learn more about Maximo and also to learn from others journeys with the implementation of Maximo
• Improve Maximo knowledge.
• Understand how other EA sites are using Maximo.
• gain an understanding on how Brett is using Maximo to incorporate Process Safety outputs
• Understanding of others experience with the safety module experience
• always interested in seeing how other organisations use Maximo as it is our asset management system
• SEW is currently in the midst of implementing the asset register into Maximo. I hope to learn about your experience.
• Understanding Maximo integration.
• To build knowledge of Maximo and the unique approaches EnergyAus has used the tool to solve their problems
• One specific area is how asset condition (including safety integrity) is captured and managed in Maximo

Some of the questions asked and comments made during the event:

• We went the same path and had the same learning! Criticality doesn't align with process safety/copliance
• Are all work order printed, or do you use a mobile device?
• if the Process Safety tick box is checked on the asset does that flow onto any PM or Work order that is created using that asset?
• Do you foresee any other future uses for the 'process safety' tick box on assets beyond maintenance workorder prioritisation?
• Will the resource planning also look at maintenance of the information within Maximo? Has this been successfully integrated
  into Asset Registration processes and other things like MoC?
• For you 'Maximo Condition Monitoring': - who enters results from your work orders' - what kind of data entered (scores/ratings,
  free any text data, etc); wouldn't mind description of format designed in Maximo
• We utilise a meter call Overall Condition which holds a 1-5 rating

  manage Process Safety within our CMMSs, so I still got a lot out of seeing what EA have done to manage Process Safety.
